Premium finishes for a high-end commercial office

An office fitout saw the transformation of a 23,344 square foot of space across five floors exude luxury and sophistication in a workplace environment. The reception area’s warm tones and minimal appearance sets the tone for the rest of the office, making a lasting impression on visitors.

In 2022, the project to fitout this commercial office for a new, 10-year lease tenant was finalised. Situated within Kensington, London, this commercial office boasts a royal address. Neighbours to elegant apartments and penthouses as well as art, history, and music, it’s location elevates the everyday workday.

Within the building, you’ll find amenities and designs that complement the luxury surroundings. From a marble floor lobby to private roof terraces, the boutique office truly sets a high class tone for it’s tenants.

Challenge

With such beautiful offices comes the need for a state-of-the-art reception, setting the tone for the rets of the building. However, finding a solution that would prevent unauthorised visitors into the building was essential to keep people and assets protected. This meant that as part of the office fitout, the client required a solution that would both complement the beautiful reception while deterring unauthorised access and manage the high flow of people. Additionally, the challenge was added to by the limited space available in the reception.

Solution

Meesons proposed the EasyGate SG Speed Gates to the client to help overcome their challenges. To start with, the speed gates work as a visual deterrent for those unauthorised considering entering. Following this, an unauthorised person trying to gain access by tailgating can easily be detected by the EasyGate SG’s twenty four pairs of sensors that are distributed along the length of the cabinet at waist and low level.

In terms of complementing the surroundings, the EasyGate SG Speed Gates were made bespoke to the client with the use of Premium Bradleys Finishing. The client chose a Bradleys Oiled Bronze Finish which perfectly matches the interior design. What’s more, the floor was fixed with glass balustrade with ‘U’ profile aluminium shoe in the same Bradleys finish, elevating the look further. The glass balustrade also works to prevent unauthorised access therefore enhancing the finished look as well as the security provided. The cantilever barrier work also adds to the high-end look due to the transparency into the space as opposed to the post-mounted option.

With limited space in the reception, the solution required needed to only take up minimal space. Given the EasyGate SGs slimline frame, they made the ideal choice to ensure the client could make the most of the existing space. Alongside this, the quick opening and closing wings help to prevent crowding in the tight space, handling throughput seamlessly.

Results

Once the fitout was complete, the client was left with a sophisticated entrance solution that complemented the surroundings perfectly.
