The core purpose of your role will be to prepare professional and accurate costings and quotations at the request of the Business Managers and Sales Executives in a well organised and timely manner. We’re looking for someone who has experience in an estimating role within a sales environment that is resilient, organised, and able to work under pressure to meet deadlines. You’ll need to hold a high level of attention to detail, be process orientated and have experience and skill in using Excel.
Your ability to be an effective communicator, written and verbal, while working effectively within a small team team will be crucial. The ideal person for this role will be able to operate in line with company values and behaviours.
Core responsibilities
- Handle multiple and varied projects.
- Have a clear understanding of the clients requirements through having detailed correspondence with the Business Managers and Sales Executives to understand their exact needs and expectations.
- Gather all relevant information and details, including but not limited to project size, specifications, materials, quantities, labour requirements, delivery deadlines and special conditions.
- Assist with project handovers
- Create clear, itemised costings and quotations, provide detailed breakdowns so that the client fully understands what they are paying for.
- Use consistent formatting ensuring the quotes are neatly organised and formatted professionally.
- Attend and participate in regular sales team meetings
- Provide all costings and quotations within the promised time frame and review all calculations to review accuracy in final pricing.
- Liaise with manufacturers, sub-contractors, and suppliers to determine costs.

- Record all requirements and confirm them with the Business Managers or Sales Executives to avoid any future misunderstandings.

- All documentation is filed in the correct locations and is correctly referenced when required
