Your Life as the National Sales Manager UK at Meesons

You will play a pivotal role in driving business growth. Your primary focus will be to lead the sales in in securing new product orders that ensure revenue & margin objectives are met.  You will be instrumental in building strong relationships for you and your team with key stakeholders, including National Main Contractors, Architects, Consultants, Security Integrators, and End Users. Additionally, you’ll lead our development efforts across various verticals, implementing unique growth & marketing strategies for each sector. 

What is expected from you:

  • Exceed Targets: Set and surpass team and personal objectives related to order intake, margin, and product mix. 
  • Client Management: Directly manage key client relationships and support your team in doing the same. 
  • Strategic Project Responsibility: Take ownership of strategically important projects as needed. 
  • Key Account Development: Create and grow key accounts by identifying opportunities, nurturing existing relationships, and expanding business within these accounts. 
  • Intergroup Cross-Sales: Collaborate with other group companies to identify cross-selling opportunities and drive revenue growth. 
  • Collaboration and Communication: Foster effective communication and collaboration between sales teams across different business units. 

Team Management

  • Performance Measurement: Regularly measure, monitor, and regulate the sales team’s performance against agreed-upon objectives. 
  • Sales Forecasts and Analysis: Collaborate with the team to provide accurate sales forecasts and other relevant analyses. 
  • Effective Communication: Conduct weekly team and individual dialogues or meetings to ensure efficient activity. 
  • Sales Meetings: Organise, host, and chair regular sales meetings. 
  • Training Solutions: Identify and propose training solutions for the team. 
  • Cost Optimisation: Actively seek ways to reduce expenditure, such as minimising travel and promoting technology use. 
  • Recruitment: When necessary, recruit replacement and new sales team members. 
  • Territory and Objective Setting: Support the Sales & Marketing Director in determining sales territories and objectives. 
  • Innovative Contributions: Contribute ideas to sales and marketing materials and initiatives. 
  • Operational Coordination: Organise and attend regular meetings with operational delivery teams to ensure clear communication and smooth project execution. 
  • Liaison with Senior Management: Act as the bridge between the sales team and senior management within the organisation. 

General and Financial

  • Liaising with other departments to ensure we always provide the right products and services. 
  • Obtain enough expertise and input from others (internally and externally) to mitigate and eliminate risk to the company both legally and financially. 
  • To maintain minimum financial performance requirements by ensuring that booked order margin targets are met. 
  • Maintain correct ‘paper trail’ on all communications, discussions, and negotiations. 
  • Produce reports as needed, encompassing all areas under your responsibility, this will include a lead-by-lead detail breakdown, pipeline projections and order intake forecasting. 
  • Champion the use of all company systems and drive better performance with better data. 
  • Ensure all activity and data are entered correctly on to the systems and that all reports are accurate and up to date. 
  • Help & Support other teams and departments with training and other input as needed. 
  • Represent the company at trade shows and other events as needed both domestic and international. 
  • Ensure regular communication to your line manager and the broader business, sharing information and helping the growth and health of the business in general.
